Application Process

The simplest way to begin your application process is to give us a call on 020 8088 1230 and book an appointment and we will guide you through the steps.

Step 1: Order PCO application forms

Order your PCO Licence application via TfL’s Private Hire Website or pop in and see us and we can help you order this for free.

Step 2: Complete Enhanced CRB Check

Complete Enhanced CRB DBS Check online and then take the ID Verification to the Post Office. Again, if you’re not sure how to do this, just come in and see us. Make sure you bring the following:

  • Passport
  • National Insurance Number
  • UK/EU Drivers Licence (with minimum 3 years experience)
  • Bank statement (from within 3 months)

Step 3: Medical Check

Take your medical form to your GP or book in to see one of our Private GP’s.

Step 4: Send Forms to TfL

Once all forms are filled, we will check it through for you and then you can post it to TfL and pay the licensing fees.

Step 5: Book Topographical Skills Test

TfL will invite you to the topographical skills test via email and letter, call them on 0343 222 4444 and book a test at a test centre of your choice.

Step 6: Book Topographical Training

You only get 2 chances on the topographical skills test, so we highly recommend preparation training before the test. We have class room training, private 1 to 1 training and online training available.

Step 7: Take the Topographical Test

Attend your test nice and early and use all the skills you’ve learned from training and pass your topographical skills test.

Step 8: TfL English Language Test

You will either need to provide proof of English Language with an existing certificate or complete a B1 English Test with Trinity College. Get in touch with us to find out more about the English Courses we have available.
