Steps to getting a PCO Licence
NOTE: TfL now requires you to complete your enhanced CRB DBS check, Medical Declaration and completed application form with the fees paid before you can book your Topographical Skills Test
Step 1: Get in touch with us
Give us a call on 020 8088 1230 or walk in to our office at Unit 3, 116 Mile End Rd, London, E1 4UN. We will help you order the relevant forms, answer any questions you may have and give you clear guidance on the steps you need to take to get your PCO Licence.
Step 2: Enhanced CRB DBS Check
You must complete an enhanced CRB to prove you are of good character. This is done online and can be processed by us if you prefer.
Step 3: Medical Examination
A medical examination must be done by your register GP or a private GP who has access to your medical records. The GP will examine you and fill in your TfL Medical Declaration form. NOTE: If you hold a PCV/PSV (Bus) or LGV/HGV (Lorry) Licence, you will be exempt as you should already have a regular DVLA group 2 medical. Please bring your blue card along with you.
Step 4: Complete Tfl Form & pay fees
Fill in your PCO licence form, we can do this as a part of our form filling service. You then need to send it to TfL.
Step 5: Topographical Skills Training & Test
Once you have sent everything off, TfL will send you a confirmation letter and invite you to book your Topographical Skills Test with them. Once you have booked your test, let us know the test date and we will book you in for an intensive topographical skills training session which includes a topographical skills mock test.
Step 6: PCO English Language Test
You will have to complete a B1 English language test and supply a passed certificate or provide sufficient evidence as proof for the English Language requirement. We have B1 preparation courses or A-Level/GSCE equivalent courses that are accepted by TfL.
